Strip curtains made your specifications

At Induflex, we manufacture strip curtains and slats in rubber and plastic materials for customers in many industries. We can also manufacture FCM-approved strip curtains and plastic slats.

We cut the strip curtains precisely to your specifications. This could be with holes or cuts, or at specific angles, for example, so that the curtains are completely ready for installation in your machine when you recieve them.

We manufacture your strip curtains in the material, shape, length, width and thickness that best suits your needs. The three materials we most often use for the production of strip curtains are silicone, soft PVC and neoprene.

Strip curtains in PVC

Transparent soft OVC is an ideal material for strip curtains. The material has particularly good chemical resistance - to both acids and bases. Like silicone, PVC is available in certain dimensions in a food-approved (FCM) version, which means we can also manufacture food-approved strip curtains for you in PVC.

PVC can be used in areas with temperatures ranging from -15 °C to 125 °C. If you need PVC strip curtains for deep-freeze areas, we recommend PVC Polar. This PVC can withstand temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 25 °C.

Soft PVC can tend to become static, which means that the slats in the blinds may stick together under certain conditions. This can be prevented by using double-ribbed PVC.

If you want an extra durable strip curtain, you can choose double-ribbed PVC. The ribs prevent the slats from sticking together due to static electricity, and the material is also extra durable.

Strip curtains in silicone

Silicone curtains are ideal for use in environments that require food-grade materials, as silicone is one of the rew rubber materials that is FDA-approved for food contact.

The material can withstand temperatures ranging from -60 °C to 230 °C, which means it can also be used in deep-freeze and high-temperature areas.

As a bonus, silicone is available in various colours such as clear, frosted white, white, black, red and blue, which are also metal detectable.

Silicone is 1200 mm wide as standard.

Strip curtains in neoprene rubber

If you need slatted blinds that are highly resistant to acids and bases and are very durable, neoprene - also known as chloroprene rubber/CR - rubber strips are a good choice for manufacturing your blinds. Please note that neoprene rubber is not transparent, but black.

Neoprene rubber strip curtains can be used in areas with temperatures between -30 °C and 110 °C.

Neoprene rubber is available as standard rolls with a width of 1200 mm and as sheets measuring 1000 x 2000 mm.

The purpose of strip curtains

Strip curtains are used to seperate rooms, halls or zones in buildings or i a machine or plant.

Strip curtains or plastic slats are often installed for the following purposes:

  • Energy optimisation (insulate cold or warm areas)
  • Cold protection
  • Prevent dust or other dirt from spreading between two areas
  • Reduce noise between two areas
  • Reduce steam
  • Reduce draughts

In machines and plants, you can also insert strip curtains or plastic slats to, for example, guide a product safely and stably from one place to another.
